A very warm welcome always awaits you at Florfield, our four bedroom home located in Hackney. Florfield prides itself in the quality of care and support we provide for people with learning disabilities and additional physical disabilities.
As with all Clearwater facilities, we focus all of our skills on giving our service users tools to help them maximise their life opportunities, within a comfortable and homely environment.
We love being part of Hackney’s wider community. It’s an exciting place to live with many activities on our doorstep. Our service users go to the local Day Centre, and are often bowling, swimming, going to disco’s, the cinema, and many places of interest. We visit friends, eat out in many of the local restaurants and pubs and look forward to our annual holidays – with destinations always chosen by our residents.
We work closely with a number of local agencies who all play important roles within each individual’s care plan. These include Hackney Learning Disability team, Redbridge Learning Disability team, Hackney Community College, Waltham Forest Community Learning and Skills Service, Hackney Day Service Projects, and City of Hackney Primary Care Trust.
Family and friends are welcome to visit and often pop in for a cup of tea. Our family parties every three months are always looked forward to. We also encourage everyone to be involved in the running and operation of Florfield – we publish regular audit questionnaires, ask friends to represent or support service users at meetings and also visit family members at their homes to discuss any concerns and aspirations.
