St Peter’s care facility for people with learning disabilities and Mental Health needs is located in the thriving town of Watford. With eight bedrooms, five of which have en-suite bathrooms, our home is tailored to the needs of the service users who chose to live here.
Kitchen: We have a fully equipped spacious kitchen with additional facilities for self cooking – our staff provide one to one support for service users who are able to prepare their own meals and snacks.
Living and dining areas: St Peter's has a spacious lounge with ample seating. We have a dining area with seating for eight located in the conservatory. We use the conservatory for a range of activities and events.
Garden: We have a spacious garden with patio area for summer barbeques. A key feature is our large vegetable plot where service users and staff are encouraged to ‘grow our own’! It’s wonderful to eat our own produce.
Staff: St Peter's has a Registered Home Manager with many years of experience as a nurse (RNLD, RN, NVQ level 5, DMS and CMS). Our Deputy Manager has a degree in social work and RNLD. Our Team leader and support staff are all qualified or are in the process of achieving NVQ level 2. The team at St Peter's are trained to support service users who have complex needs ranging from mental health, Autism, Epilepsy, challenging behaviour, Diabetes and Celiac disease.
