Fairkytes, located in Hornchurch. features five bedrooms three of which have en-suite facilities. There are two further bathrooms.
Kitchen: We have a fully fitted spacious kitchen with facilities for self-cooking. We welcome service users to assist in the preparation of meals.
Living and dining areas: Our communal spaces feature comfortable seating, TV, DVD player, Wii console and stereo system. Service users enjoy the interaction between themselves, friends and family within these very sociable areas.
Activity room: We have a separate Activity room located in the garden. Here, there is access to a computer, and space for a variety of other activities designed to further skills and abilities amongst our residents.
Garden: Our garden creates a safe and spacious environment for outdoor activities including summer BBQ’s.
Staff: Fairkytes has a Registered Home Manager, three senior support workers, and four further support workers. During the night, we have one ‘waking night’ and one ‘sleeping’ staff member. Extra staff are used when service users attend youth club/ outings and medical appointments. All of the Fairkytes team hold relevant qualifications for care, with a minimum of NVQ level 2 – taken or in the process of being taken. In addition, staff members have level 3 BSL and basic Maketon.Pecs communication skills.
